I just got home this afternoon from a special time with MY DAUGHTER. We went to Tel Hai Camp in Honey Brook, PA for the weekend for a special mother/daughter time. We had a blast doing a zip line, riding horses, paddle boats, a rock wall, arts and crafts, playing in the stream, and we even learned archery! What made this trip extra special was the concern and helpfulness the camp gave towards Kayla’s GF diet. They are not a very large camp and do not have the facilities to cook GF for her, but they gave me access to the kitchen and all their facilities to prepare GF food for her when necessary, and were great about helping me find labels and talking to me about cross-contamination. She was able to eat about half of the foods they prepared there. The staff was so helpful and considerate.
It was great to be able to go away for a weekend together, and we hardly felt stressed at all with the diet!
